As a social historic phenomenon, religion has it's own rules of emergence, development and extinction. It has always been playing noticeable roles in human history and social life. Religion and politics are always inseparable, all of the social classes take religion as the tool and measurement to protect their own benefits. There are three forms of religion are utilized by the ruling class—state religion, theocracy and non-state religion, there are also three form utilized by the ruled class—revolt with the banner of religion, reform of religion and church, heretical theology and paganism movement. In the contemporary conditions, the negative effects of religion to international politics and international relations becomes obvious and concentrated, such as ethical conflict and area conflict originated by religion conflict, intense area relation and international intervention caused by opposite value concept, collusion of religion extremism and international terrorism.Religion and art has the relation of amalgamation from each other. The festivals of religious activities have developed to characteristic folk customs. Buddhism, Taoism, Islamism, Christianity and Catholicism coexist in China now, they have the characteristics of mass, nationality, internationalism, complexity and long-term. In the new times of socialist construction, religion develops quickly and makes more effect to society, they play quite important positive roles in the construction of "two civilizations". But some disordered phenomena also reflect in religion domain, the political infiltration under the banner of religion made by the international hostile force is becoming intensified, the social contradiction originated from religion and nation is comparatively prominent.In the coming several years, religion will develop stably, and become more ordered and mundane and develop towards high level. Socialism harmonious society requests us to analyze the situation exactly, guide religion to adapt to socialism, give full play to the positive factors of religious moral, and make religion contribute to the construction of harmonious society.
