A Probe Into The Critique Of Modernity

The critique of modernity is a controversial field in modern philosophy. This thesis discusses this question from the perspective of methodology, perspects the natural appearance in the critique of modernity, grasps the spirts in the critique of modernity.This thesis tries to reveal the different aspects of modernity with the three perspectives of phenomenology, hermeneutics and dialectics, which includes three parts:1 methodological analysis of the critique of modernity, which leads modernity to self-evidence of the natural appearance in the crirtique of modernity by the way of transendental epoche; 2 methodological turn of the critique of modernity, which explains the turn from positivism, normativism and dialectical reason to intuitive knowledge, historical hermeneutics and critical dialectics as the result of horizontal fusion. 3 the impact of the ture to the followers, which gives a better understanding of the academic background of western critique of modernity and the significance of this movement, with the help of the critique of Frankfurt school from the viewpoint of Marxism. Actually speaking, most of the times, phenomenological, hermeneutical and dialectical methods are used together in this thesis, which does much good to grasping the critical spirits in the critique of modernity.
