| The east foothill of Mountain Taihang is a south and north narrow and long front mountain area, the north extremity of this area is Yongding River of Heibei Province and the south is the Upper reaches of Wei River in Henan Province. From analyzing the archaeological remains at the period of Western Zhou Dynasty, this paper makes the framework of archaeological chronology. Basing on analyzing, We comparing site to tomb by cultural factor, then the area can be divided into two parts. At last, we discuss something about the way how the Zhou Dynasty control there.There are five parts in this paper.The first part is an introduction. The contribution of the remains, the present condition of the research and the purpose of this paper can be introduced in this part.The second part is the date and period division of Zhou Culture. The remains can be divided three periods and six sections from analyzing the antiquity from site and tomb by excavating. Comparing with the similar relics in other places, every period can be dated.The third part is the period division and date of the Upper Zhangjiayuan culture.The remains of Zhenjiangying site is a classical type of the Upper Zhangjiayuan culture, which was located in the region we refer to. From studying the classical sites and pottery by archaeological excavation, we make two periods and four sections for this type. There have the same date with one to four section of Zhou culture. The fourth part is region division of Zhou culture and the development of archaeological culture in two regions.Based on the culture factor, the remains of Western Zhou period can be divided into two parts. We research the development of culture in every part by the clue of time. The conclusion illustrated there has different way in the north and south, the reason should be leaded by the cultural background and the tactics of Zhou people. The last part is conclusion. |
