This article mainly focus on the problem of the attitudes to Confucius and Mencius on Newly Youth which is not presented fully in literary history and tries to present the attitudes to Confucius and Mencius on Newly Youth completely. It is divided into four phases: cultivate morality to administer country, realise in end ,intensively oppose Confucianism and the ebb of opposing Confucianism.The attitudes to Confucius and Mencius in the first phase is mainly shown only by Chen Duxiu, with whether the thought blocks the progresses of the youth for standard to take or not ; In the second phase, the camp has extended, Chen shows to start opposing Confucianism and Yi Baisha tries hard to treat Confucius'theory justly, having affirmations and negation; Gao Yuhan mainly affirms the Confucius and Mencius.The third phase is the focal period of the discussing . A lot of intelligentsias attack the tradition hard, but Chen still shows benignancy, goodness, reverence and frugality to give reservation .Wu Yu also has affirmation on the tradition; Wang Ying also praises the benvolence and the tenacity. In the fourth phase, the discussing between Lin Shu and Cai Yuanpei shows that Chen's attitude has changed .Wu Yu ,Hu Shi and Lu Xun continue the anti- social morals to go deep in to expand, opposing Confucianism thought attitudes to Confucius and Mencius on Newly youth is not drastically opposing. And the form from conversion turns to writing articles .The attitudes to Confucius and Mencius on Newly Youth are complex and various. The different authors'attitudes to Confucius and Mencius on Newly Youth are different and even the same person holds different attitudes in different phases not only attacking violently but also reservation and agreement , not drastically opposing.
