The study of the second language learning strategies has a history of only 30 years.But,great progress has been made in revealing the nature of the second language acquisition.Generally speaking,We divided the Chinese learning strategies into cognitive strategies,metacognitive strategies and feeling strategies.In my opinion,language learning strategies also include communication strategies.The paper intends to analyze quantitatively the features,similarities and differences of Chinese learning strategies for sixty foreign students in different coutries by survey and talking personally.It was found that cultural thought patters have a great effect on the election of learning strategies.Firstly, students from Chinese-character-used countries(such as Japan,Krea and Tailand)used strategies of mother language transfer and applying in reading and writing much more often than those from Chinese-character-non-used counties(such as,England,America, Saudi Arabia and Mexico).Secondly,students from Chinese-character-non-used counties used strategies of memorizing the character by Pictures and rhymes and reviewing much more often than those from Chinese-character-used countries.The other countries all do well in Metacognitive strategies except for Saudi Arabia and Mexico.Finally,students from Chinese-character-non-used counties are much more extroverted on feeling than students from Chinese-character-used counties.On the basis of that,the paper trys to put forward our opinion on how to instruct Chinese learning strategies,and hope to offer help for Chinese teaters...
