This thesis analyzes the formation of Biblical-utopia thought and its influence on Thomas More, by using of Northrop Frye's Myth—Archetype Theory to analyze the relationship between Utopia and the biblical archetype. So as to explain that More, who was often regarded as a humanist, had actually integrated humanism and Biblical-utopia thought together and transfused new blood to Biblical-utopia thought. This Biblical-utopia thought also deeply reflected in the book Utopia. This thesis divides into three parts to explain the problem. In the introductory part, the thesis gives a brief summary of the present research situation of Utopia and problems existed in the domestic research. Based on these materials, the author presents the breakthrough point, the aim and significance of writing this thesis. So as to explore a path that leads to the forever lasting spiritual home.First part of this thesis mainly introduces the formation of Biblical-utopia thought and the important role it played in the formation of More's thought. What's more, Thomas More integrated Biblical-utopia thought and contemporary thought—humanism together and transfused new blood to this Biblical-utopia thought with his own characteristics. This thought became the base of writing his Utopia. Second part mainly discusses the embodiment of Biblical-utopia thought in the text Utopia by using Northrop Frye's Myth—Archetype Theory. The author mainly expatiates from four aspects: archetypal scene, archetypal image, archetypal character and archetypal framework, in order to prove the great influence that Biblical-utopia thought imposed on the text and on Thomas More.Third part by analyzing utopian writers'inheritance of the Biblical-utopia thought and the appearances of this thought in modern literature, to explain that the Biblical-utopia thought has not disappeared as time goes by, on the contrary, it will exist and last forever. As long as people hold the utopia dream in their heart, utopia will last. Only if it depends on Biblical-utopia thought, it will never die.Last part concludes that the Biblical-utopia thought was perfectly interpreted in the representative work Utopia of Thomas More. At the same time, this Biblical-utopia thought influenced the afterworld a lot, and this thought will last only if people have a utopian dream. As long as people hold this dream, Biblical-utopia thought will support this dream forever.
