Brief Narrative Of Tuda In Ningxia Area

Tuda is general designation of Mongolians who lived in Northwest border areas durings Ming dynasty .Based on research of Tuda in Ningxia area,the paper mainly collects and arranges some related historical records.Because Tuda in Ningxia area is an important component of inland Mongolians in Ming dynasty ,the research about which is significant supplement to study on historical action of inland Mongolian in Ming dynasty. Therefore, it is that the verification of the trace of Tuda in Ningxia area seen in historical records which is the very main part of the paper .After the migration of yuan's royal family to northern areas and the establishment of Ming Dynasty which accomplished by Zhu yuan zhang ,a great deal of Mongolian submitted to Ming's authority when Ming's government adopted a friendly policy . Tuda in Ningxia area is a part of them. They made living either by plowing or by herding and lived happily on the conciliatory policy of the government .The most of Tuda were vigorous and valiant,furthermore,they were good at riding and shooting.Thus they were usually requisitioned by Ming government to defend northern Mongolian cavalry .In the mid and later period of Ming,the government was dominated by eunuches. Avaricious offocials got property by force,which made the people more and more poor.Muting and revolt happened frequently and even soldiers and civilians of Tuda started to rise up in open rebellion such as muting of Lingzhou and uprising of Bobai.Tuda in Ningxia area has positive effect on the area's politic,military and economic development.
