Researching Of Animism

Among the history of western philosophy,the psycho-physical problem occupies a special and indispensably position.Animism is the eldest theory about the psycho-physical problem.The thoery of Animism had been developing since humanity history started.The history of thought upon the psycho-physical problem is in the main history of the way which Animism,the eldest and in all previous ages,the most generally accepted answer to it.But it had been attacked and put more and more upon the defensive in succeeding centuries,Animism was on the eadge of not only sience,but also philosophy,and lost the dignity of its own,until towards the end of the nineteenth century it was generally regard in academic circles as finally driven from psycho-physical problem field.It is said that the history of Animism is full of dramatic things.The study of Animism in China,is more likely to be a undeveloped field.Almost everything which were mentioned to Animism are critical.Actually the word Animism is frequently used by them is more properly called primitive Animism,but this is only one variety of Animism,one which seem to have been reached by extending the essential notion far beyond its original and proper sphere of application.That makes the acknowledge and the juedgement to Animism be dogmatic and not enough.We must clarify the misunderstanding about Animism.That is why I want to write about the theory of Animism.I hve therefore given to the historical of Animism.The main body of my whole study occupaied with the presentation and examination of the different centuries of the history of Animism.The study is started with the explaination of Animism.In the first chapter,the explaination of Animism and clarification between Animism and Hylozoism are given in the first part of the first chapter.And the next three parts of this chapter trace in outline through the human culture-tradition of privmitive ages,to the acient Greek and Hebrew culture,and to the greatest philosopher Plato and Aristotle.And the begainning of Animism.Chapter two is constructed by four parts.Part one is about Scholasticism in Middle Age.Part two is Animism at the time of the renascence of learning and the influnce.Part three is going to talk about the begainning of philosophy of mind with Descartes's theory, and main about Animism in the seventeenth and eighteenth century.The last part of this chapter is about the defensive and against theories which were introduced by philosophers in nineteenth century.The next chapter,chapter three,disply the rejection thoeries of Animism which is founded by the development of sience in nineteenth century.Included in part one: Newtonian machianics and conservation law of energy,part two:theory of physiology, part three:the influnce from Darwin's theory.In this century,Animism was falling down from the position it used to be,and almost disapeared.Chapter four exhibit the inadequacy of the physical principle to explaination of the facts of the world.Animism was given by a newly energy,and was back to the view of modern philosophy.The last chapter states my dialectical attitude towards the theory of Animism.I wish my study could help us know more and clearer upon Animism.And this won't be the end of my research about this thesis!...
