The Humorous Language From The Perspective Of Logic

Language is a tool for communication, and humor makes it excessively wonderful and functions as a magic wand to success. As humor plays a very important role in the verbal communication, it has long been a subject for interdisciplinary study. Based on the previous researches, the paper attempts to apply the general theory of formal logic to humor and make logical analysis specifically from the perspective of logic, namely to analyze the logic patterns underlying beneath the complex language. It also attempts to master the disciplines, summarize the humorous skills in terms of logic as well as reveal the logic base and root which arouses fun and laughter. In the paper, the writer tries to approach the humor from the perspective of logic, adopting the three modes of thought (concept, judgement and deduction) and following the order of four basic rules of logic. Through conductiong the above analysis, the paper is aimed at grasping some living logic knowledge, learning the methods of doing logical analysis and then improving the logical ability while appreciating humor.
