At the beginning of 20th century, Great Britain changed her foreign policy to Arabia time after time, based on the need of international position, especially in order to acquire victory in the WWâ… .Because the Saudi government was one of the important powers in Arabia, the foreign policy actualized by Great Britain to it was one important part in her Arabia Policy. From 1902 to 1927, Great Britain changed her foreign policy to Saudi Arabia with several times. Before 1915, Great Britain adopted the traditional policy of Nonintervention in Arabia, and didn't take care of the instauration and grandness of Saudi government. Ibn Saud, the leader of Saudi, requested to establish diplomatic relations with Great Britain several times, but was refused every time. When the First World War broke out, Britain adjusted her stratagem of Middle East. In order to urge Saudi to suppose the Arab Revolution, which was sustained by Britain to resist Turks, Britain established diplomatic relations with Saudi government rapidly, and offered armament, subsidy and other political assistance. The diplomatic relations between Britain and Saudi was strengthened fleetly. Finally, Triple Entente becomes the winner. When the WWâ… ended, Great Britain and France carved up the Middle East renewably. In order to prevent French power's dilation, Britain sustained the Hashemite government. So, Britain didn't see the over-grandness of Saudi power, so that becomes one menace to the Hashemite government, and then began to restrict its development. Because of Hussain's failing inside and outside policies, Saudi would occupy Hejaz affirmatively,Britain abandoned Hashemite and admitted the Saudi Kingdom. The foreign policy actualized by Great Britain to Saudi Arabia has significant influence to Saudi government in two aspects: one side, Britain's assistance redounds to the grandness of Saudi government; on the other hand, Britain's restriction limit Saudi's expand in a certain extent. On all accounts, Britain dominated the diplomatic relations between the two countries, but the Saudi make the most of the diplomatic relations for its expanding. The diplomatic relations was also very important to the two countries. The evolvement of the foreign policy actualized by Great Britain to Saudi Arabia was changed according to its own interest, taken on its dense color of realism.
