With modern vernacular poetry flourished, Wen Yiduo started to create the vernacular poetry and research theory on new poetry actively. His support and criticism to new Poetry had been proved very rational. In Wen Yiduo's mind, some vernacular new poetry have no aesthetic significance which they should have, so he strongly advocated the new rhythm poetry. He wanted to regulate the new poetry, from voice to visual, from content to form. He had drawed a series of norms to the new poetry in order to its healthy development. Wen Yiduo's theory on poetry is a whole building, he not only attached importance to the form of Poetry, but he stressed that poetry should have heated emotions. And the emotional content of poetry should be showed through the beautiful form. Wen Yiduo thought that poets should apply images to show feelings. Only to view his theory comprehensively, can we understand correctly Wen Yiduo's theory of poetry, and re-evaluate the relationship between him and the Western pure aesthetician. "the soul of beauty should attach the form of beauty" is Wen Yiduo's well-known speech. According to his poetry ,his theory and the Chinese 1930s living conditions, Wen Yiduo should not be regarded as one of pure Aesthetician.he thought highly of poety's musical beauty, which will help the further development of modern poetry.His theory of poetry as a valuable cultural heritage, has accumulate down in the history of modern poetry, and has boosted the starting point for research since then. His aesthetic pursuit is a valuable spiritual resource in the chinese history of modern literature.Its influence is very deep.
