In recent years dialects in south of Hunan attach great importance to linguistic field. Its research achieved remarkable results, however, people in the same direction focused largely on the description on pronunciation, and the differences of a local dialects compared with the national common language and other dialects. Thus things regularity was summed up. Comparatively speaking, it is obviously that the dialect vocabulary studies didn't get enough attention, so that the study on dialect vocabulary has a subordinate position. Started from the weak link—the south of Hunan dialect in this paper, it is to investigate the Qinglong dialect vocabulary for a wide-ranging, and provide real corpus for the south of Hunan dialect vocabulary research.This paper can be divided into seven parts.I . Summarize.This part generally introduces Xintian county's location, population, historical turning and its language using. It also point out the status and the effect of the research, as well as a brief introduction of selecting survey and the circumstances of local people.II .Phonetic system in Qinglong dialect. It describes the phonological system, collocation system and their relations.III. Features of etymology in Qinglong dialect. This part is to probe into the feature of vocabulary in Qinglong dialect from the origin of the vocabulary in Qinglong dialect.IV. Features of form of words and phrases, and analysis of meanings in vocabulary of Qinglong dialect. Compared with the common language, this part is to explore dialect vocabulary characteristics from the voice form, word's morpheme features and meanings.V. Analysis of the warranty of words and phrases in Qinglong dialect. It analyses the reason that produces the social environment, custom and psychology and so on from the difference of dialect vocabulary naming, and gets a deep understanding in the form of Qinglong dialect vocabulary.VI. Description of the vocabulary in Qinglong dialect. This part is to comprehensively display the vocabulary of Qinglong dialect.VII. Conclusion. The dialect in South County and North County has little difference in terms of vocabulary; morpheme formations are basically the same; words meaning are roughly the same. The differences concentrated mainly in pronunciation. By contrast, from the effect of common language and the strong dialect to the local dialect, voice changes more largely than vocabulary.
