A Rhetoric Study Of Lyrics Of Sangzhi Songs

This thesis focuses on Sangzhi folk songs, existing in Sangzhi County and its surrounding area, Zhangjiajie City northwest Hunan, which was included in the protection of intangible cultural heritage list in 2006. This thesis does not lay stress on singing skills and features, but probe the manifestations of language arts of the lyrics from the perspective of rhetoric, focusing on sorting out the rhetoric phenomenon and effect of lyrics. This paper includes four parts: firstly, the basic situation of Sangzhi folk songs and the significance of this study discussed; secondly, from the perspective of speech rhetoric, the speech rhetoric phenomenon and its effect analyzed; thirdly, from the perspective of word and sentence rhetoric, rhetoric phenomenon and results of the application of the word and sentence discussed; fourthly, rhetoric and results of Sangzhi folk songs argued.Although Sangzhi folk songs rank national intangible cultural heritage status, and the value of the arts increasingly attracted worldwide attention, relevant departments intensify efforts of the protection and propaganda, particularly build it as Zhangjiajie tourism cultural fine works, however, at present, as for the study of Sangzhi folk songs, which merely stays on the stage of collecting and sorting out materials, theoretically speaking, it lacks further research, and the problem of excavation and exhibition of artistic values are still existing. The rhetoric study of lyrics of Sangzhi folk songs can be claimed to be the first attempt of pioneering a new field in theoretical research of Sangzhi folk songs; Meanwhile, making a great effort for protection and transmission of regional culture, and exerting an obligation for development of Zhangjiajie humane tourism resources. Finally, the author hopes to provide some practical information for dialect rhetoric research.
