The Research On The Rhetorical Art Of Zhang Xian-liang's Novels

Zhang Xianliang,a well known contemporary writer,has won several national awards for outstanding fictions and has been highly influential in the literary world.The language of his novels is rich in rhetoric art that deeply favored by readers and has high research value.Therefore,combining Chinese rhetoric,cognitive linguistics,psychology,aesthetics and other theories,and using statistical method,inductive method and other research methods for a systematic analysis,this thesis focuses on Zhang Xianliang's novels,to try to see through its rhetoric art of language to get an in depth reading of Zhang Xianliang's literature works.At the same time,it also hopes to provide a textual basis for the cross study of literature and linguistics.This paper is divided into three parts.The first part is the preface that mainly includes four parts: the source of the selected topic,the significance of the research,the current situation and the research methods.The second part is the main body of the article,which explores the rhetorical art of language in Zhang Xianliang's novels from six aspects.The first chapter is about the rhetorical art of phonetics in Zhang Xianliang's novels,which is mainly reflected in the vivid onomatopoeia,melodious and cyclic repetition,smooth coordinated syllable and intriguing pause.The second chapter is about the rhetoric of words in Zhang Xianliang's novels,primarily exploring the use of dialect words,idioms,professional terms and variant words.The third chapter is about the rhetorical art of sentences in Zhang Xianliang's novels that are chiefly analysed from the use of long and short sentences,full sentences and loose sentences,syntagmatic sentences,and the use of supernormal collocation.The fourth chapter is about the use of figures of speech in Zhang Xianliang's novels.It principally discusses the artful use of figures of speech such as analogy,quotation,repetition,apperception and transferred epithet,etc.The fifth chapter is about the art of receptive rhetoric in Zhang Xianliang's novels,which maily researches the context acceptance,the type of acceptance and the psychology of acceptance in the language of the novels.The last chapter is an analysis of the causes of the rhetoric art in Zhang Xianliang's novels that analyzes the origin of the rhetoric art from the subjective factors that contain life experience,creative attitude and the objective factors that embrace the home surroundings,the geographical environment and the social environment.The third part is the conclusion of this paper.
