The Study On Focus Theory And Its Application In Edit

The focus originally is an optic concept, along with the development of the linguistics, this concept is gradually quoted in the grammar domain, it is used for expressing the emphasis information which the human must transmit in language communication. The focus theory's character and expression method in the plane of grammar's application, have the pivotal function reasonably to utilize the language to transmit information for people. The focus theory is used to edit work, which contributes more standardized and accurate language information to transmit. But in china little research has been done about the thorough discussion on the application of the focus theory in edit work at present, the edit work still paused in stratification of "the revision processing", which is not penetrated the research stratification of "why to revise like this". Therefore, the author mainly inspected and analyzed the grammar application of Chinese focus theory during the edit work of the newspaper and the middle-school student magazines.First, this article synthesized research results of the domestic scholars about Chinese focus theory, with the actual work, the author inspects and analyzed the application of the focus theory during the edit work from the perspective of Chinese grammar.After that, this article analyzed the application of focus theory in edit work of the news newspaper through the glossary method and the syntax method, which highlights the focus of the sentence. During the process, the author selected some news from the "Morning Newspaper of Hunan " as language materials.Finally, the author selected the language materials from the magazine of the "Middle-Student Encyclopedia", and analyzed the application of focus theory in the edit work of the middle-school student's magazines, through inspecting the methods by which the editor perfects entries and highlights the focus of sentence.The article combined theory with practice, and used the language theory to guide the practice, which let the grammar application develop further to the level of the grammar research. It is important to improve the professional quality of editors, but also provides some valuable ideas and methods to cultivate the ability of editors.
