| The discovery of New Continent in the year of 1492 is a historical event having an epoch-making signification. It engendered tremendous influence to the whole world and the world history. As the discoverer of New Continent, of course, Spain is the first one which was affected. Because of the discovery of New Continent, a world-shaking change happened in the whole country and society of Spain. As known to all, the collision of New Continent and Old Continent brought large numbers of noble metal to Spain, and this make Spain extremely wealthy after one night. No doubt that this helped the empire of Spain to grow up and be stronger. But, what this thesis expounds and discusses is the negative effect which the discovery of New Continent brought to Spain behind the'becoming wealthy after one night'. The inflooding of abundant American noble metal caused a series of social problem, such as the rise of price in Spain, the exacerbating of the problem of paupers, and the distortion of the sense of worth of Spanish, and just these three factors induced the decline of the empire of Spain. The purpose of this thesis is to understand the series of chain reaction which was aroused by the communion of areas by the dissertation from this angle. |
