Research On The Self-worth Of Students In Higher Vocational And Technical Colleges And The Relations Between It And Internet Addiction Disorder

In recent years, the research about self-worth in adolescents and the research about Internet Addiction Disorder (IAD) are being paid more and more attention by the society, But the deeper research about the relationship of the self-worth in adolescents and Internet Addiction Disorder (IAD) is still at the start stage, and by the fundamental research majority, the quantity research are few. Especially to the Students in Higher Vocational and Technical Colleges, the research is blank nearly. This study analyzes the condition about the self-worth of Students in Higher Vocational and Technical Colleges and the relationship of the self-worth and Internet Addiction Disorder (IAD) in theory. Then we use the method of questionnaire survey and two measuring scales (SW, CIAS) to check 483 students of two Higher Vocational Colleges in Nantong of Jiangsu .we want to know the characters on the self-worth of the students in Higher Vocational and Technical Colleges and analyze the self-worth of the students in Higher Vocational and Technical Colleges how to affect Internet Addiction Disorder, then we can give some measures to keep away from Internet Addiction Disorder from training good self-worth. The result are as follows:Firstly, students' self-worth in Higher Vocational and Technical Colleges has sexual discrepancy, schoolgirls' self-worth are higher than schoolboys' in general; and there are grade discrepancy, the grade two is the high tide period in self-worth development, the grade one is the low tide period in self-worth development; and there are major discrepancy, self-worth of the science students is better than the students of liberal arts in society.Secondly, there is a significant difference in self-worth between addicts and non-addicts, the non-addicts students' self-worth are much higher than addicts'.Thirdly, sex and the lever of self-worth affect Internet Addiction Disorder, and they have interaction. The students who have low self-worth are easier to be internet addicts than the students who have secondary and high self-worth. The schoolboys who have secondary and low self-worth and students who have low self-worth are easiest to be internet addicts.Fourthly, there is a significant negative correlation between self-worth and Internet Addiction Disorder. Family self-worth(society),morality self-worth(society) and association self-worth(individual) affect Internet Addiction Disorder directly, they can predict Internet Addiction Disorder in some degree.From above, we find in order to prevent Internet Addiction Disorder, we must to have good self-worth and cultivate healthy personality. It is important to set up the effective supporting systems in society, school, family and self.
