Analysis Of Colloquialism Movement Via Communication Theory

The colloquialism movement was started at late Qing dynasty. The Journal of New Youth played an important role in the rise , growth and victory of the vernacular movement in modern China. In the beginning, all the articles advocating vernacular Chinese appeared in New Youth. They brought forth the movement and accelerated it rapidly by propagating the ideas. We will focus on this course from communication theory angle and analysis popularization. From macroscopical society to microcosmic media operation, analyzing the media's great role in the vernacular movement and understand this culture communication phenomena in history better.
