Rousseau (1712 - 1778) is the French Enlightenment thinker, philosopher, educator and writer. He is also the 18th-century pioneer of the idea of the French Revolution and one of the most outstanding representatives in the Enlightenment.Rousseau's historical image is very complicated. He has not received formal education, but he has shocked the circle of thoughts with his political ideology. He has revolutionary thinking, but is firmly opposed to the revolution. To understand the thinking of Rousseau's political philosophy, we must see that the integrity and tension of his philosophy.This paper elaborates the integrity of Rousseau's political philosophy, and virtue theory has always been through his political philosophy. Rousseau believes that there exist three forms of freedom, including natural freedom, social freedom and moral freedom, which have evolved along with the development of human history. On the surface, Rousseau's virtue theory is the classical return, but in nature it is the essence of the moral freedom and is a higher form of manifestation of freedom. Rousseau's criticisms the social reality, believing that society has been fragmented and lost its integrity due to wealth, luxury, corruption and erosion. He wants to use "morality" to refresh the reality.The second part discusses Rousseau's political philosophy of freedom and equality thinking and the reality of social corruption, freedom of Virtue and civic virtue, democracy and totalitarianism, the individual and the collective, and many other features of the contradictions. In Rousseau's political philosophy , the fundamental principle of the confrontation is personal and social conflicts. His thinking of freedom and equality is the extension of "virtue". Virtue is the antithesis of science, arts which lead to wealth, luxury, corruption and other social phenomena and is these factors that caused inequality. Rousseau's political philosophy is characterized by involving individual rights and social recognition. Rousseau's view is that freedom of the individual is to reach a contract through a joint approach. However, because of the demand for maintenance of public will, Rousseau and the public will stand a conscious personal identity. Therefore, Rousseau's political philosophy has a wealth of tension. The third part discusses Rousseau's exploration into solving many contra dictionary factors in his political philosophy . Rousseau tries to bridge his political philosophy and thinking of the many contradictions through the establishment of a sound social and political system and a free classical virtue of civic education.The fourth part focuses on the localization of Rousseau's political philosophy, discussing major thinkers' Study of Rousseau's political philosophy and the location of Rousseau's thinking.
