The Cultural Study Of Yimeng Anti-Japanese Bases

The Yimeng Mountainous Region is in the south of Shandong Province. It is one of the oldest origin of Chinese culture. As early as twenty thousand years ago, there were traces of people's activities of the ancestors of human beings. The renowned chancellor Zhuge Liang, the saint of calligraphy Wang Xizhi, saint of mathematics, Liu Hong, the famous calligrapher Yan Zhenqing, and other historical figures like Zeng Zi, Kuang Heng, Liu Xiang and so on.Yimeng Mountainous Area is an area which was tested by battles. During the Anti-Japanese War, along with the establishment and development of the Anti-Japanese bases, and Anti-Japanese democratic power's coming into being, the propaganda, culture and education developed too. The cultural construction was in a leading position in the Anti-Japanese bases, and thus made important contribution to the construction of the bases, and also helped the Anti-Japanese war led by the Communist Party to finally succeed. During this period, many intellectuals, and people of culture and artistic circles came to the center of Yimeng anti-Japanese bases. Therefore a lot of cultural and artistic personnel gathered in Yimeng Anti-Japanese bases. They used as weapons the culture and art, to arouse the people, and so made great contribution to Anti-Japanese War. They also left us with the unique spiritual resources.The study of the cultural establishment of Yimeng Anti-Japanese bases helps us to completely understand the value of new democraticalism, and it helps to push forward the study of the history of Yimeng bases, Shandong Province on local levels, and Chinese Communist Party. They have significance in the socialist construction of today. This paper analyzes and explains the cultural construction of Yimeng Anti-Japanese bases.Chapter 1 explanes the overall condition of the culture of Yimeng Anti-Japanese bases. It is thought that the cultural construction of Yimeng Anti-Japanese bases is actively participated by organs of the Party and the mass. Chapter 2 explains the cultural organs and cultural policy. It says that the Education Section of Shandong Wartime Work Pushing Committee, later changed into Education Section of Shandong Wartime Administration Committee. It is obtained after collecting, and consulting the large number of historical data, and visiting and surveying the revolutionists who were still alive.Chapter 4 mainly analyses the historic origin of the revolutionary culture of Yimeng Anti-Japanese bases, and points out the inevitability and necessity of the revolutionary culture to start from this area. It was a double choice by the Communist Party and the people.Chapter 5 explains the realistic significance of the culture of Yimeng Anti-Japanese bases. From the theory and values of history, it explains the significance of inheriting and expounding the culture of Yimeng Anti-Japanese. It points out that as wartime cultural phenomenon and achievement, the analysis of the historic values is to better inherit the revolutionary tradition and resources. Fully using this culture may help to better build socialism.
