In the modern world, with the mergence of the economic strength and the cultural strength day by day, the competitive strength of culture mainly embodies the comprehensive national strength. In the context of globalization, the development of the cultural and creative industry in ten years has proven that it is one of the industries with the most prospects and development potential. The cultural and creative industry in many developed countries not only developed faster than traditional industries, but also already became the key industry in national industry on the development scale.The cultural and creative industry is produced with the development of information, cultural and economic era and based on the modern technology and cultural resource, whose core and soul are originality and innovation. The comprehensive concept runs through the developing process of many industries, such as production, mass communication, circulation, consumption, etc. It shows as a newly industry clustering providing the mass with culture, arts, metal, psychology and entertainment.The cultural and creative industry itself is constantly developing with the course of history while its connotation and extension are constantly extending. At the same time, the relative theoretical researches about the industry are perfect with constant practice. There is profound soil in China for the rise and development of the industry, such as reform in modern Chinese economic and cultural system, the development of the mass media of communication, enhancement in society- wide wealth level, the change in people's consumption structure (the proportion in cultural consumption getting higher) and so on. What's more, its importance displays that with the background of economic globalization, development of the cultural and creative industry became the core and the important component of defending national cultural security. We are supposed to construct the cultural innovation system and the cultural security system of the state with Chinese characteristics.This thesis mainly analyses Impression—LIU, SAN JIE, which is a large-scale riverside show creating quite the splas. The thesis inquiries from many aspects, for example the connotation of cultural and creative theory, the principal character of the cultural and creative industry, the production flows, theoretical elements and cultural capital of the industry, etc.. Meanwhile, it places extra emphasis on the culture kernel and the industry property of Impression—LIU, SAN JIE, which is the typical case of the industry. It tries to grasp something from this culture product, such as the innovation for culture and arts and the intrinsic character of its originality and analyzes its traits of originality, arts and personality. In the end, the thesis summarizes its successful experience on adoption of the market principle, and then provides the relative counter measure for the development of cultural and creative industry in China.The author believe that the success of Impression—LIU, SAN JIE lies in the integration of the three great brands, such as the natural hills and streams in Guilin, the tale of LIU, SAN JIE and the director ZHANG, YI MOU. The riverside show creating quite the splas is an innovative pattern in the history of performing arts and makes breakthrough for the development of the cultural and creative industry. It success strongly proves that its core is innovation. Only keeping the culture products innovative can we meet the growing material needs of the mass. Only we adapt to the ever-changing requirement of the market and update the development approach according to the market orientation, we will gain the market as well as the development and will make a trial on the sustainable and operational pattern of cultural industry. Its original value has a great impact on the tourism in Yangshuo. It opens up a bold and innovative channel for the development of performing arts industry in China and is with the pilot meaning for the development of cultural and creative industry in China.
