There occur lots of poetry schools and poets during Qianlong period, and Qianzai is one of the famous poets who make great success. Based on the others'former research and the backgrounds of Qianlong dynasty and the poetry development of Qianlong period, this thesis will evaluate Qian's poems comprehensively and objectively and figure out Qian's position in the Qing Poetry. Hence to obtain the aim that's to revaluate the esteem of the poetry of the middle period of Qing dynasty.This thesis will give the details of Qian's life and ideas. Qian's dominant idea is the Confucianism although there are lots ideas influent him during different period of his life. In order to amplify the poet's life, this paper tacks the directed—related relatives of Qian's family and his brief chronicle of life and biography. The main part of this thesis is Qian's poem, and the author of this thesis gets out the fact that Qian holds two main views: poetry is a tool to express poet's ideas and the succession and the innovation should be combined together. The main ideas are the result of the poet inherits and improves the former ideas. The subjects and the objects of Qian's poems are colorful. There are many poems which reflect the social lives and the ethic and morality, as well as some poems on painting and calligraphy; inscriptions; implements; ideas and travels, which reflect the poet's experiences and his sentiments. Qian's poems present multifarious characteristics by using many artistic techniques, such as the prose—styled poetry which character by abruptness; the line-drawing that character by purity and nature; the scholastic poems that character by the knowledge. With the above analysis, there comes the conclusion that Qian's poetry is unique in the Qianlong dynasty and Qian is the pioneer and key poet of Xiushui Poetry School. He has great influents on Jiang Shiquan and Wong Fanggang who live in the same period with Qian and Lijian who lives after Qian. In addition to that, Qian is the typical representatives of the poets who learn the way of prose-styled poetry in the middle of Qing dynasty, and an inevitable poet who learn the Song Poetry and affects the followers and the poets of Tongguang Poetry School.
