The Research On Cheng Enze's Poetry

At the time of Daoguang and Xianfeng period,the poetry circle of Qing dynasty changed from the dispute and stalemate of Tang and Song poetry to the popularity of Song poetry,and the poetic style was even changed superficial and greasy,and then opened up a new situation where the words of scholars and the words of poets were combined.This change affected the Tongguang poetry system of the late Qing dynasty and the early Republic of China,and the late Qing poets gradually formed a huge school of Song poetry,which is called"Song poetry movement" by later generations.In this poetic movement,there is a character that has to be mentioned,is Cheng Enze.Cheng Enze was a famous poet,scholar and scholar in the Qing dynasty.He was once the official of the Hanlin academy,the scholar in Guizhou and the scholar in Hunan.Friends of Cheng Enze are mostly famous poets like RuanYuan,Qi Junzao,Mei Zengliang,Zhang Mu,Lin Zexu,Deng Xianhe,Cheng also has disciples like Zheng Zhen,He Shaoji,Mo Youzhi,.Cheng Enze was at the center of poetry activities,his poetic thought and creation is closely related to the poetry at that time.Many of Cheng Enze's poems and essays have been lost,and his existing works remain in the ten volumes of Cheng enze's collection of works.Cheng Enze's poems can be roughly divided into four categories in reciprocal poems,illustrated poetry,landscape poems and historical poems.Cheng's achievements are mainly reflected in his artistic features.Cheng's poems are characterized by use allusions,discussion and narration,and prose syntax.As a result,he created a broad,quiet and exotic artistic style.Although Cheng Enze had no poetry theory book,but his poetics thoughts such as"learning-character",taking article as poem,innovative and free from vulgarity,with scattered poetics and his actual poetry in poetry creation,had a direct impact on his disciples Zheng Zhen,He Shaoji etc,and his highly praise of Huang Tingjian's poems,using allusions,discussion and narration and taking article as poem,had a great influence on the whole Daoguang and Xianfeng period.To study Cheng Enze's poems is to trace the origin of the poetry school of the Daoguang and Xianfeng period.
