The Philosophical Reflection On The Cultural Positions Of Chinese Modernization

Since the 21st century, the development of Chinese modernization has entered an important period and the cultural issues have become increasingly prominent. It is obvious that the concerns on cultural transformation and modernization in the in-depth development of Chinese modernization process have become more and more necessary and important. There are three basic cultural positions in Chinese history about the discussion on cultural aspects:the Cultural Radicalism, the Cultural Conservatism and the Marxism. After the 1980s′"cultural fever" and the 1990s′"Guoxue fever", the Chinese the Cultural Conservatism rehabilitated with Neo-Confucianism as the core and advocate "rejuvenation of Confucianism" and "Confucianism modern transformation" which greatly weakened the Cultural Radicalism and the status of the Marxism. Since the 1990s, the rehabilitated cultural conservatism is trying to find the way of Chinese modernization cultural and to become the cultural positions of Chinese modernization. Based on the reflection on reasonable and limitation of the rehabilitated cultural conservatism whose core is Neo-Confucianism, we find that there are two major difficulties if we uphold the position of the cultural conservatism to resolve the Chinese modernization cultural issues, and the two major difficulties are on the taking root of Confucianism and the modernization of Confucianism. For that ,if we uphold the position of the cultural conservatism, the modernization of Chinese culture can not be achieved .we hold that Chinese Marxist is based on practice and rooted in reality, which provides a real possibility for the traditional culture to modernizate. And views about culture which based on the position of Marxist are always full of vitality and superiority .So we conclude that cultural position of Marxist is the best choice.
