Representing The Surprise Of Finding

As a representative of Nine Leaves, Mu dan has received many proposal and criticism. But the charm of his poems has never reduced. These do have internality relationship with his poetic opinion. He emphasized that it is important to represent the surprise of finding. His poems has described the special experience of dissimilation of a modern intellectual , as well as the fate of the failure of sewing the gap between the self-consummation and reality. In order to represent his own experience, he reformed his skills of writing. On one hand, he introduced modern everyday phrases and contradictions into his poems; on the other hand, he had strong realistic feeling. Because his poetic opinion was contrary to the requirement of the times, he suffered tribulations. First, as a modernistic poet, he had given up writing in that time, and he had no chances to publish his poems even if he wrote. Second, because he had given up the music and the effect of traditional literature, his poems could not meet the need of people and go abroad.
