South of Hunan dialect increasingly was concerned by the linguists because of its complexity.This paper studies the phonetic features of Qinglong dialect in north of Xintian county of Hunan Province. We conclude the phonetic features of Qinglong dialect by field research and contrast it with ancient and related dialects. To Providing material for studying south of Hunan dialect in depth, I raised some of my own views.This paper can be divided into eight parts.I . Summarize. This part introduces Xintian county's location, population, historical turning and its language using in general. It also point out the status and the effect of the research, as well as a brief introduction of selecting survey and the circumstances of local people.II . Phonetic system in Qinglong dialect. It describes the phonological system, collocation system and their relations.III. Melody Features of Qinglong dialect. It describes the features of its phonological system and collocation system.IV. Literary reading and colloquial reading in Qinglong dialect. It describes literary reading and colloquial reading in its phonological system and collocation system.V. Homophone table of qinglong dialect. This part is to make homophone classified under the order of vowel, consonant, the tone in Qinglong dialect.VI. The comparison of Qinglong dialect's phonological system with ancient Chinese. Through comparing with Guangyun, the author concludes the phonetic features of Qinglong dialect.VII. Comparison of Qinglong dialect and Luoxi dialect and their voice evolution. On the basis of comparison, the paper describes the phonetic features of Qinglong dialect in recent years.VI .Conclusion. This part reveals the situation of the gradually shrinking of Qinglong dialect, and studies the causes of this phenomenon from a social and historical perspective.
