Su Qing is a deviant in the 20th century Chinese modern literature istory. Her works aren't full of great social significance, nor act as the pioneer of the times. But as a woman writer, Su Qing resolutely devoted herself to literature in a poor condition and used it to describe and note her life. But people always focused on the things beyond her works. Su Qing was adventurous but forthright in that period. The adversity she ncountered drove her to literature, while the fields of vision of ivilization made her care about people's choice of existence. The book is divided into three chapters,The first chapter: habitation and experience of young Su Qing and the reason why she devoted herself to literature; the themes, figures, especially the city women in her works. The second chapter: except the most basic things human being need to live on, there're also others important to us, e. g. sex liberation, ceremony breaking and family missing..The final chapter: comparison between Su Qing and other similar women writers in Chinese contemporary and modern literature, for example, Zhang Ailing, Wang Anyi and Chi Li. The commonness of these writers shows that the works focusing on people's existence are full of vitality.
