Typographic Design is particularly widespread for application in modern graphic design. Chinese typography, which presents an unique cultural personality, is an important symbol of information and cultural embodiment. How to combine the national culture of Chinese typography with the needs of digital ages perfectly, is an important task for today's typographic design courses.This article starts from the analysis of the typographic design teaching under the current situation. In the first episode, it will analyze the current background of typographic design teaching, mainly from the traditional, technical and environmental aspects by relevant data and real examples. Also, it will conduct an in-depth comparison, research and conclusion on that.In the second and third episodes, the passage will elaborate the innovation of typographic design teaching in the digital ages, mainly from the two aspects--from the teaching objectives and its placement to the content and form. On the basis of previous studies and analysis, it will give us some new opinions on how to develop the typographic design teaching in the new age in China, which are mainly from the following angles like the re-placement of overall courses, the establishment and distribution of courses, the breakthrough of teaching difficulties, the improvement of our teaching methods, etc.In the last episode, it will offer you some concepts and measures on the development of typography design teaching, and also some feasible projects and suggestions for the teaching reform.In summary, the purpose and significance of this article is, to study the methods of Chinese typographic design, to analyze the features and limits of typographic design, to build up a more reasonable teaching mode in the digital era, to overcome the teaching difficulties, to find out the direction for creative development, to make the teaching process more scientific and reasonable, to meet the requirements of the times, to be easier in operation, to convey the updating concepts and the design methods to the students, and to find an adaptive way to develop typographic design teaching in the digital circumstances. There are still many challenges ahead, so we have a long way to go.
