The thought of "inaction", which is the essence of Laozi's philosophy and the nature of Dao, is of much importance in the philosophy of Laozi. It requests people to set up one kind of ideological realm to forget oneself, to favor others selflessly; people are required to treat rules of social development and natural development without prejudice whereby it was believed to achieve the goal of "Non-inaction". The thought did impact on how to deal with relationship between human being and nature, between human being and society, between human being and himself. This article would like to get the sight through the analysis of cosmism, philosophy, politics and aesthetics. The article is broken down into 6 parts:First:centering around the thought of "inaction", which focus on the background. Getting the picture about the relationship among "action","inaction" and "non-inaction".Second: trying to make clear what cosmism for 'inaction and yet non-inaction" is like, concentrating on the meaning of Dao.Third: trying to make clear what philosophy for "inaction and yet non-inaction" is like, concentrating on the relationship between "inaction from people" and "inaction from natural rule".Fourth: trying to make clear what politics is like, concentrating on the reason for Laozi proposing "ruling without action".Fifth: trying to make clear what aesthetics is like, concentration on the contest of the aesthetics.Sixth: trying to make clear what the contemporary value of "inaction" is, which is believed to be guidelines for coping with relationships between human being and nature, between human beings, between human being and himself.
