During the period of Modu Chanyu, Huns annihilated the eastern Hu, drove off Rouzhi, United Dingling five countries and so on, so that Hun country became very mighty and prosperous. Han armies were defeated deadly in the battle of Pmgcheng between Han and Huns. Han eventually cemented friendly relations through political marriages. During the period of empress "Lv", emperor "Wen" and emperor "Jing", Han always took the policy marriage measure, with the purpose to gain the peaceful circumstances to recover and improve its economy. But in fact, Han dynasty's political marriage policy couldn't prevent Huns from invading Han's frontier. When emperor Hanwu became the emperor, Han dynasty's economy, politics and armament were equal to Huns so Han launched many wars on Huns. Huns were defeated seriously again and again, and lost greatly. The wars between Han dynasty and Huns lasted more than forty years. A considerable number of Huns' population and stocks were wounded or killed. Furthermore, Huns were forced to move to the north, and thus got weaker and weaker, as a result of leaving the places with plenty of water and lush grass, and therefore fell into a decline. Since Huns' fall, a few of generations Chanyu always insisted to appeal to Han dynasty to recreate friendly relations, for the sake of avoiding wars and get materials of the Central Plains, which actually could continue its regime's domination. But in fact it was Huns who always appealed compliment. Form the later period of Yizhixie Chanyu to Woyanqudi Chanyu, Although Huns appealed again and again, Han dynasty didn't consent to its request all the time, which showed that the western Han dynasty didn't expect Huns' regime were able to be mighty again at that time. After losing Monan, Hexi and Yin Mountain one by one, the hunting places with plenty of water and lush grass. Huns' economy fell into the edge of ruin, at that time, Huns' internal scrambling for the Chanyu power got more intensified, so that the number of Huns' population and stocks lost greatly, which made the Huns' regime further fall from another point of view.60 BC, the king Rizhu led his people submit to Han dynasty, from then on Tongpuduwei was abrogated, thus the western Han dynasty built the Xiyuduhu, the economy from Xiyu made the last supply effect for Huns' regime, which also was shut off with it, and then Huns fell into a decline.Sum up all aspects of reasons, in my opinion, the frangibility of nomadic and hunting economy, the military affairs unsuccessful, hunting places losing, long time internal conflict, political prestige's downfall because of unsuccessful military affairs and the supply from Xiyu is shut off and so forth, which all are important reasons for leading to Huns regime's fall.
