On Du Fu's Poetry Styles

It's always thought that Du Fu's poems are not only depressed but also sonorous .This article holds that the depressed and the sonorous indeed parts of the Du Fu's poetry styles, especially on the works of Du Fu's best, most well-known poems. More than that, this article elucidates the dialectical relationship between the depressed and the sonorous from the perspective of content and form. The depressed, mainly reflected the deeper breadth of the content and the feelings which were deep and thick .so as to the sonorous, mainly reflected that the structure of Du Fu's poems were changeable and the temperament was sonorous, powerful. Content and form complement each other, so as to the depressed and the sonorous. The depressed content demand the sonorous, the sonorous forms of content can also deepen the depressed.However, Du Fu is one of the greatest poets on the poetry of ChinaIf we just sum up the depressed the sonorous as all his poetic styles, it is inevitable and obvious that we made a mistake .Therefore, doing more detailed, more comprehensive analysis on Du Fu's styles is of great significance. From this perspective, this article summarized the other three kinds of Du Fu's poetic styles. Namely: the natural style, the elegant style, the eccentric style. The natural style of Du Fu's poems accepted Tao Yuanming and Xie Lingyun's advantages while the elegant style of Du Fu's poems was greatly influenced by Yu Xin and Bao Zhao. Du Fu's poems are not only realistic, but also romantic. The eccentric style is the creation of Du Fu, which greatly affected Li He, a famous poet of Late Tang Dynasty. Through the analysis of these three types of poetic styles, we found that Du Fu is the synthesizer of that time. To some extent, the North-South integration style of writing which the early Tang Dynasty tried to reach is completed by Du Fu. At the height of the Epic, Du Fu is a link between the past and the future of that time. Du Fu's poetry styles are different from each other. There are many reasons for that: Firstly, Du Fu's life went through Emperor Xuan, Emperor Su and Emperor Dai. This time span can be thought as a transition period, not only the Tang dynasty but also the whole of China was also in a major turning point in history. Literature reflects social life. Du Fu, as a great poet, used his pen to describe the situation of the times, and his poetry, had become a microcosm of the history. His poems will surely show a variety of styles and characteristics because of the fun times and transform of the colorful life. Secondly, Tang Dynasty, especially the Golden period of Tang Dynasty, was open-minded. The culture was also diversified. At that time, formed a situation that the coexistence of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism. Most of the writers of Tang Dynasty accepted the concept of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism. Du Fu, as one of these, of course accepted all of these three ideas. And ideological pluralism helped the diversification of Du Fu's style. He chose the good, abandoned their dross. And on the basis of inheritance, development and innovation, He formed his own concept, and then formed different kinds of poetry styles, making the Golden Tang poetry to a peak.In all, the changes of the times, the ups and downs of Du Fu's life, the multicultural coexistence and social trends of thought, these are all the external reasons for Du Fu's poetry styles.
