A Comparison Study For The Viewpoints Of Human's Nature In Humanistic Psychology

Humanistic psychology is considered as the third way of western psychologies. They try to criticize the ways of psychoanalysis and behaviorism and find the third way. Maslom, Rogers and May Rollo are the most famous scholars of humanistic psychology. They start to pay attention to healthy humans and they adopt phenomenology methods to study the value of men and men's personality development. Humanistic psychologists claim that men has not only the common potential of animal but also the potential of self-development. Under the influence of the potential of self-development, men's value and personality are fully developed, even to Self-realization. Nearly all the scholars think that all the humanistic psychologists express their viewpoints on the base of the theory of human nature and the theory of existentialism, so they pay more attention to the consistence of the humanistic psychologists. But in this article you will find that the viewpoints of humanistic psychologists on the nature of human are different, and these difference result in other difference such as, core concepts and main theory.
