Life For Human Diffuse - On The Humanistic Spirit Of The Modern Works Of Ba Jin

From the middle of 20th century, the writings of Bajin, which are the focus of Academe's attention, are so best-known within the country and abroad that they hold high station in the literature history of China. These writings are strongly impressed for they have some special charms. First, most of these writings reflect Chinese society in the first part of 20th century and can fit the need of Chinese society development, that is, they possess concept of the mainstream ideology. Second, these writings of Bajin pay attention to the magnificent humanism spirit that is common and universal in the whole history of human society. The humanism spirit is an internal ligament that joins his idea with his works, content of his writings with form.From the viewpoint of humanism spirit, this paper tries hand to jump out of the set-pattern and evaluates impersonally and rightly these writings of Bajin written in the first part of 20th century by the standards of literature, history and human. Treating the humanism spirit as the thread, this paper concludes the intension and extension of the humanism spirit by comparing the soul of humanism spirit in the China and foreign countries, and then explains them from three parts: the true, the selflessness and the beauty. First, the content of writings expounds the essence of human nature, human rights and humanism that are the intensions of humanism spirit. Second, the purpose of writings reflects intensively the special and active method of constructing the author's morality by analyzing the connection of humanism and religion in thewritings of Bajin, and obvious religious sensibilities of Bajin. Third, from the viewpoint of artistic style, we can get the conclusion that the buskin style of Bajin's writings has close relations with humanism spirit by the method of inducing the buskin style of his writings.Humanism spirit is the center of all of the contemporary literature writings of Bajin. The paper analyses synthetically the humanism among these writings, sets out the essential of humanism spirit that is the mutual within the human beings, and then locates the value and meaning of contemporary literature writings of Bajin.
