Research On The Present Situation Of Tibetan Buddhism Among Mongolians In Xin-jiang Province

Today's Xin-jiang Mongolians ,mainly distributing in the Boertala Mongolia Autonomous Region and Bayingolin Mongolian Autonomous Region, are the descents of the Wei Late Mongolians and part of the Chahar Mongolians in history .They have believed in Tibetan Buddhism for more than 300 years .However, because of the drastic change of Xin-jiang Mongolians'society in Modern times, their Tibetan Buddhism had suffered so much impaction that its development in Xin-jiang province had also suspended. But thanks for the publication of the new religion policy after Reforming and Opening up,the Tibetan Buddhism has resumed gradually in Xin-jiang ,especially in the recent several years .This paper, employing the research methods of Subject Historical Documents and Religion Sociology, introduces the situation of the development of Tibetan Buddhism in Xin-jiang nowadays and the features of it and discusses the trend of its development in recent years and the reasons.
