| Art is always based on the endless self-communion and restudy of its history. By researching some details in the history, we could discover some points which can be developed. Therefore, the Dunhuang painting was shown in the different genre in different times, especially effect the Tibetan painting in the aftertime. Based on the above meditation on the history, some new questions were developed, but it is a pity for perceiving the Dunhunang art that people rarely did holistic researches in this kind of meditation for a long time.For doing a research to know the connotation of Dunhuang painting, we need start from the history, because the ideology and aesthetics is not only related on the techniques and materials but also the springhead and power for the art of mural painting. Based on the Buddhist and traditional Chinese aesthetics and chromatics, thinking the relationship of the tinct style between the Tibetan painting and Dunhung mural painting, searching into the connotation of Dunhuang painting, comparing and analyzing the interplay form different style of the Chinese ancient mural painting in the different times, we can figure out that the connotation of Dunhung mural painting is very important for analyzing and researching the history of chromatics in Tibetan painting.To sum up, to do a holistic research in Dunhung mural painting, we should appreciate the culture of Dunhung painting and Buddhism first, realize and evaluate the connotation. Standing on a higher theoretical level, we should redefine the Dunhuang painting and its artistic value from more widely history of human spirit and art. |
