Study On The Relationships Of Chinese Tea Culture And Tea Set Design

Our country is the source of tea .Both the tea culture and the design of the tea-things have gone through a brilliant history. And the process of the use of the tea-things,(the course of drinking tea) ,is also the process of learning the spirits of the tea culture. Looking back on the tea-things paragons of of the past dynasties, We'll find that all of them were connected closely with their tea cultures at different times.,but in the current fields of the tea- things manufacture and designs , we'd imitate the making of our forethers totally or copy that of the foreigners rather than make innovations by ourselves. How to highlight our own features and combine the tea-drinking culture of the modern people to make our own innovative designs is now a serious project of the current tea- things designs.In this article,I make clear the concepts of the tea culture and tea- things,together with its developing threads and then clarify that the styles of drinking tea and its cultural background are the main factors which affect the design of the tea- things. And also study and analyse the connections between the tea culture and the tea-things designs from the apperances ,functions, materials and colors of the tea-things of each period. At last, from the connections between the tea culture and the tea things,I sum up the laws that should be stressed during the process of tea- things manufacture. First, the tea- things should have the physical features and practical value of art which suit the acitivities of tea-drinking., the designs of tea- things should be combined with the factors of technology processing and materials,etc . And then we should coordinate the tea- things with people's habits during the process of tea-drinking and psychological features according to the engineering principles of human-beings and machines. The second, the tea things should have the value of art of the aesthetic appealingness,moral spirits and value concept which suit the tea culture well. In another word, in the design of the tea- things,we should put emphasis on the unity of function and formal beauty, the display of the spirits of the tea culture and the value concept,and the coordination of the tea -things and the surroundings of the teadrinking.The whole thesis has more than 35000 words and 47 pictures.
