Currently, there are plenty of domestic and oversa academic works in vocal music. It's also popular with studies that specialize in the throat, breathing, resonance, articulation, ears (hearing), etc.Although there are articles about tongue, systematic and in-depth study of it have not yet seen. Based on those documents, and in accordance with mentors and my own multi-year experiences of vocal practice, I'd like to explore a number of issues on the usage of tongue in vocal singing. This paper includes three parts: the first part introduced anatomy of the tongue and physiological basis of the movement. The second part pointed out the problems in singing related to the usage of the tongue, and illustrated that the root of the issue is improperly handling of tongue and breathing, resonance, access, and articulation. The third part is the extension of previous discussion, and suggested solutions to solve the problems.
