Research On The Idea Of Dongqichang's Connoisseurship

From the angle of investigation in social status of scholar , this thesis invests the intention and purpose of scholar's connoisseurship , inferences Donqichang's central sense of worth——realization"tao".The connoisseurship of Dong is scholar connoisseurship that is different from business connoisseurship and , it has some ideas of Yangming school and Buddhist .In this foundation ,this thesis discusses the thought and the character of Dong's connoisseurship from the angles of social status such as artist, theoretician, leader of art circle and Buddhist scholar . So it defends strongly the argument of"South and North art school". Another discussion in this article is about the idea of"brush and ink"in the viewpoint of Dong's connoisseurship . The writer demonstrates the essence of"brush and ink"that is"tao"appearing its body in art ."Brush and ink"in art shows us a world of meaning . In the last of the thesis , the writer investigates the special methods of Dong's connoisseurship and his discourse character and , defends and explains the Dong's viewpoints of contradictions in his theory .By studying the Dong's idea of connoisseurship, the intention of the thesis is reestablishing a value direction for contemporary Chinese painting——showing the mankind living in the world——in our art circle, in which the styles change very rapidly .furthermore, the thesis would be a exploration on the connoisseurship theory of Chinese ancient painting and calligraphy.
