We compare and investigate the Zhuangzi and Nietzsche's views of life about two issues in a comprehensive and systematic way,one issue is which life is natural, another is how to realize the natural life. The paper is divided in three parts. In the first part,we compare and analyze Zhuangzi and Nietzsche's life attitudes to the issue which life is natural.Zhuangzi maintains non-action,hoping to have a quiet mind.He thinks that we should take the ethical duties which we can't escape and the things which we can't change for granted and we should take what is natural as the fate. Nietzsche supposes that the value consists in doubting the old world and exploring the new world and creating the new value. Zhuangzi pays attention to the self-conservation,which means the physical conservation and quietness of mind. Nietzsche thinks that the strong's will is not to self-conservation,but to promote his power. In the second part,we compare and analyze Zhuangzi and Nietzsche's thoughts about the issue how to realize the natural life. Zhuangzi maintains"without me"and abstinence, discarding the knowledge. He is against the favour and hatred. Nietzsche thinks that we should pride ourselves on being a strong and powerful man,in order to promote our power,we should reasonably satify our instinctive desires and make good use of the knowledge and keep the favour to power. In the third part,we compare and analyze Zhuangzi and Nietzsche's attitudes toward their traditional virtues. They criticize their traditional virtues, because they think traditional virtues are against human nature. However, their understanding of human nature is different.Zhuangzi supposes that the Confucian virtues distroy the human nature and restrict the freedom of mind,he also reveals that some people use the virtues to gain the private interests. Nietzsche thinks that Christian virtues restrict people's creation and make the people become mediocre and protect the mediocre persons and suppress the strong, making the mediocrity popular and making the greatness vanish.
