On The Relationship Between Li Hongzhang And His Shogunate

Li Hongzhang was a very complicated historical figure in modern China, who played different roles in different historical periods. There was distinctive personal imprint in the course of his presiding over its internal affairs, military affairs and diplomacy. Li Hongzhang and his shogunate played an important role in promoting Chinese modernization process. The study on the relationship between Li Hongzhang and his shogunate is few now. In fact, the relationship between Li Hongzhang and his shogunate is worth concerning. Through the relationship between the two, we can further recognize the talents' view of Li Hongzhang. Besides, we can also have a full understanding of his governing thoughts. Therefore, the dissertation attempts to make a dedicated exploration on the relationship between two from the point of an important role Zhou Fu.The dissertation can be divided into five parts as follows:The Introduction introduces topics origins, the retrospection of the study and research methods in this dissertation.Chapter I introduces the formation, development and characteristics of Li Hongzhang's shogunate. The chapter introduces the social foundation at the time of the late Qing Dynasty, and then analyzes the formation and development of Li Hongzhang's shogunate. This process can be divided into two periods, which can be used to understand the characteristics of Li Hongzhang shogunate.Chapter II analyzes Zhou Fu's experiences and his achievements in Li hongzhang's shogunate. The dissertation gives a brief introduction of Zhou Fu and his achievements. Then, it introduces his experiences and achievements in flood control, political affairs, military affairs, foreign affairs, safeguard sovereignty and other aspects.Chapter III discusses the relationship between Li and his shogunate. Then it analyzed their relationship in the perspective of Zhou fu.The Conclusion summarizes the whole dissertation and shares the research experience.
