The Franciscan Order is one of the first the Catholic missionarries to China. It possess a vital status at the dissemination of the history of the Catholic Church in Shaanxi. The Franciscans Order replaced the Society of Jesus and become the monopoly power at missionary activities in Shaanxi after "Chinese Rites Contrioversy ". It seizes every opportunity to develop." The Uprising Of Muslims in 1862 ", " The serious drought in Shaanxi Province in 1878 ", " Boxer Rebellion " and other historical events, both help The Franciscans Order to develop. The Franciscans Order set up a large scale missionary Tong Yuan Square base, Xi'an south Church and so on, has attracted many people to convert and expand the forces. There are the pattern of eight parish in Shaanxi during Minguo period. The Franciscan Order occupied the leadership of the Yan'an, Xi'an, Zhouzhi, Fengxiang, Tongzhou, Ankang and Samwon parish except of Hanzhong.
