Autonomous learning, which was given birth to the twentieth century, is a hot topic that so many experts coming from all sorts of fields concentrate on and write some books and papers in succession. In the field of education, some researchers attach much importance to exploring how to do autonomous learning and how to improve students' ability of autonomous learning in teaching. In the field of psychology, some researchers mainly discuss the psychological system of autonomous learning and acquire a lot of achievements. In the area of linguistics, autonomous learning is widely used and one of learning modes with autonomy, initiative, independenceThe paper bases on the studying constructivism theory, Humanistic theory and social cognitive theory, designing one questionnaire that different achievements are to be variable to investigate the 214 undergraduate students of Oriental Science and Technology College of Hunan Agricultural University, analyzing the data of investigation with SPSS13.0, studying interior interrelated factors that autonomous learning includes self-efficacy, attribution, goal setting, Cognitive Strategies getting, metacognitive level, emotional factors and so on, then concludes every factor has an effect on the autonomous learning of college English including learning motivation, learning aims, self-control, self-regulation and self-evaluation and so on, according to the result, exploring the strategies of improving students' ability of autonomous learning including motivating learners' motivation, training autonomous learning strategies, dealing with the relationship between teachers and students, using internet and multi-media resource and creating good learning environment. At last, the author conclude the following conclusions, the internal factors have influence on the learning effect, the ability of autonomous learning and the students with different achievements, then the better achievements the students gain, the better effects they will have, the more confidence they have to overcome the difficulties. Meanwhile they will take immediate measures and evaluate themselves in an objective way. However, the students, who are not very good at study, cannot overcome the difficulties in learning so that they are easy to lose heart. They could not evaluate themselves in an objective way, resulting in the negative result.
