In 1940s,Liang Shiqiu,Qian Zhongshu and Wang Li produced with their wide range of knowledge and outstanding wisdom a series of first class humorous essays.Their artistic achievements in essays made artistic creation of humorous essays perfect and laid a more solid foundation for artistic creation.There is no doubt that their achievements have afforded us good examples and useful experience.Based on their points,the paper systematically compares and analyses the creation of essays of these three masters in 1940s from the perspective of humor arts and examples.The paper tries to delineate the essential creative mood and artistic techniques of expression in creating 'Humor' in essays and to expose their different artistic styles and their common aesthetic characteristics in the same aesthetic style, so as to strengthen our understanding of humor arts in essays,produce some inspection in creating humor in essays and offer reference to activate and recreate humor arts in writing modern essays.The paper makes a study of these three masters' creative moods,namely, rational mood,detached mood and marginal mood in creating humor in their essays and elaborates their main artistic techniques of expression---- skillful use of anti-conventional thinking,positive rhetoric and unique type in inducing humor in their essays.And them,on this basis,the paper further sums up these three masters' different humor styles in their essays: satine,scoff and so on.Finally,the paper by way of comparison and analysis,summarizes the artistic achievements and aesthetic characteristics shown in these three masters' essays in 1940s.
