Now Business Language research is also very weak. The academic circle has not systematic and in-depth research on the use of such language, the linguistic characteristics and the linguistic rules. Research tools are also inadequate. In addition, along with the Chinese economy's high speed development and international standing's remarkable enhancement, persons who understand Chinese, particularly Business Chinese, more and more become urgent needs of many countries. These works rose to an agenda day after day, which are Business Chinese teaching, Business Chinese teaching material compilation as well as Business Chinese corpus establishment and so on. The academic circle of Applied Linguistics has the necessity to carry on the massive investigations and the researches on the actual use of commercial language. Therefore, this paper attempts to study Linguistic Characteristics of Commodity Market Information which is closely related to the business activities. The research project adopts the method which collecting the actual corpus and counting the word frequency to observe and study Linguistic Characteristics of Commodity Market Information, mainly manifested in the words, the sentences and the discourse structures. So this research can provide a realistic illustration for the Business Language research. This research's results can provide references for these studies, such as Business Chinese teaching, Business Chinese material compilation, Business Chinese dictionary compile, Business Chinese teaching and learning software development, Business Chinese corpus establishment etc. Meanwhile, as far as the theoretical significance is concerned, the results can also enrich the theoretical studies of Business Linguistics and Field Linguistics.After analyzing and observing corpus of 170 samples, we find that there are massive special words in the commodity market information language. The so-called special words and expressions are the scientific concepts in the special subject areas or the concepts which used specially by some kind of occupation. Broadly speaking, the special words and expressions, "some are the words, some are the fixed expressions". At present, the academic circle thinks that the special words and expressions mainly include terms and professional jargons.First of all, there are a variety of terms used in the commodity market information language, mainly relating to the product name terms and the technical terms about product model, function, outward appearance, science technology and so on. And there are still international trade terms etc. Of these, the most extensive and most frequently used terms are the first two terms. In addition, these two kinds of terms often use letter words.Secondly, in this kind of information, some of commercial trade jargons are used very frequently. Among them, "jiage" and "shichang" are the most frequently used two word forms. And commercial trade jargons with price meanings are the most frequently used, at the top. In addition, there are some other commonly used commercial trade jargons, such as "xuqiu", "chanpin", "shengchan", "xiaoshou" etc. In addition to high-frequency words, there are a number of high-frequency morphemes. And the frequency of morpheme "jia" is highest, followed by "shi","liang" "huo". Some other professional jargons occasionally also appear in this type information language.Thirdly, some proper name words and expressions about the countries'names, the geographic names, the well-known brands or the famous business names and so on, frequently also appear in this information. Because the majority of goods can not be avoided with origins, brands, production enterprises, which are closely related to productions, sales, supplies. They are important parts of the information.Finally, this type information language has some kind of tendency on ordinary words and expressions selection. Through the observation of word frequency statistics, we find that it focuses on the following eight concepts. According to the frequency of use from high to low, this sequence is: "change", "time", "quantity", "state", "behavior", "influence", "cause and effect", "main body".Discourse type determines the structure of discourse. A specific type of discourse has a specific structure of the discourse. And the underlying semantic structure of the discourse determines the discourse structure. To study the internal structure of the commodity market information discourse, we should first analyze the underlying semantic structure of discourse. This article tries from discourse and text to study in the commodity market information discourse.This subject first studies the common tendency which 170 samples'internal text structures present, then taps the internal semantic structure of the commodity market information discourse, thus infers the discourse structural feature of this type information. First, this subject divides 170 samples into three types according to the different contents of samples'texts:①One kind of commodity or first-rate commodity market information;②Similar commodity market information about different type, brand or local commodity etc.;③Several kinds of different commodity market information. According to the three types, the 170 samples are classified. And we analyzed the internal structure of each type text. Through the corpus confirmations, we draw such conclusion finally: No matter the test structure does belong to which type or which form combination, these transformations are only distortions based on the basic text structure. And it is just some stage's abbreviation. Their in-depth semantics structure has not had the fundamental change. And the underlying semantic structure of the discourse determines the discourse structure, thenPhase I: Describing of the present statusPhase II: Analyzing causesPhaseⅢ: Forecasting prospects——It is the discourse structure of the Commodity market information discourse.After statistics and observation of the 170 samples, we found that comparative sentences, causation complex sentences, transitional complex sentences are often used.First of all, in the corpus of 170 samples, these comparative sentences with such words "bi", "jiao", "tongbi," "xiangbi", "huanbi" etc. are high frequency. These comparative words are usually associated with quantitative phrases. Because the information often relates to commodity price comparison, commodity quantity comparison, commodity quality comparison and so on. And this type of sentence can convey accurate and clear information.Secondly, the causal complex sentences have higher frequency of use. Judging from the location, they usually are used for analysis and interpretation of the causes, that is, often appear on the stage of discourse analysis. Related words commonly used are "youyu", "yinci," "yin", "yinwei", "suoyi" and so on.Thirdly, the transitional complex sentences are usually appeared on two stages about describing of the present status and analyzing causes. In most cases, they express the same things in different times and under different conditions showing a comparison of the different situations. Related words commonly used are "……,dan……","……,danshi……","suiran……,dan……","suiran……,danshi……" and so on, which can express the semantic transition.This topic research's object is the commodity market information language closely related to the commercial activities. With the method of using the corpus and counting the word frequency, the subject observed and studied the information's linguistic characteristics, so it revealed its use of words and sentences, as well as the discourse features. In a sense, this research has provided a realistic illustration for the study of Business Language and Field language, and can enrich their fundamental research.
