An Experimental Study On The Disyllabic Chinese Tonal Errors Of The Junior Thai Students

The Chinese tones are the most difficult parts for foreign students in learning. Focused on the errors concerning the tones of single syllabic and disyllabic Chinese students and junior Thai students.One is the experiment of listening and telling of tones to examine the sense of tonal distinguishment,the other is a comparison of pronounciation between native Chinese students and junior Thai students.This thesis disussed the types and charecteristics of tonal errors by examining the collected data,through the interlanguage analysis and error analysis.The author argued for the teaching mathodology that we should strengthen the training to enlarge the scale of tonal pronunciation,emphasize the teaching of tonal types,and finally adjust the marking of tones in writting.
