Robert Alexander Schumann was a famous German pianist, composer, music critic and writer in the 19th century, a good time foe the romanticism music. His creative e thoughts and the commentary activities always emphasized on the goals and the significances of the music emotional performance, with his own typical romanticism style. His creation and critical activities influenced German even the European romanticism and folk musicians very deeply. "Piano Concerto in A minor " was an only piano concerto of his creation, also one of the best piano concertos after the Beethoven. This paper elaborate from the following aspects on the "Piano Concerto in A minor".Chapter one is the introduction shows the historical characteristics of romanticism time, the influences on Schumann's creation by the literature of romanticism time, and recent research situation and innovation.Chapter two is concerning the Schumann's biography and the process of his creation, elaborated from the early time (imitation classicism time), the intermediate stage (true romanticism's time), the later time (the combination of romanticism and classical creations).Chapter three is the analysis of "Piano Concerto in A minor" from the composition technology theoretical aspect, in the field of creation background, musical structure, melody and rhythm, sounds and moods.Chapter four is the elaboration of the creative styles of "Piano Concerto in A minor", also the further one of Schumann's musical creation characteristics and esthetics thoughts.The analysis and the research of "Piano Concerto in A minor" not only makes people understand more about the characteristics of Schumann's music creation, but also shows the innovation and the important social significances for future music creation and the development.
