Returned Students And The Development Of Ordnance Cause In The Nanjing Government

Weapons Industry in modern China was not originated in the old Cold Steel. It was transplanted from the ordnance enterprises in the West after the unremitting efforts of several generations of people. In the stimulation of "Lee pointed gun ship" and from the initial Imitation of modern weapons by the way of the introduction, digestion and absorption to develop the China own ordnance cause, many returned students who were dispatched to study the knowledge and technology related to weapons made outstanding contributions to china Ordnance cause.In this paper, we discussed the contribution of returned students made to the development of ordnance cause in Nanjing Government from a historical perspective by studying the Ordnance Department and its affiliated enterprises and the scientific research units. And we highlighted immortal contributions that returned students made to the cause. In the end, the inspiration of the development in Nanjing Government Ordnance cause was discussed.
