Workers And Believing Catholicism

Since China's reform and opening to the outside world, the Party's policy on freedom of religious belief has been implemented. Everything in Chinese Catholicism has made great strides. According to official statistics, China has 5,000,000 Catholics, a total of more than 70 Catholic bishops, more than 5,000 priests, more than 5600 churches and places of worship. Among the Catholics, a special group of people appeared, which called worker, they abandoned the Atheism education which have been long existed since the foundation of china and believe Jesus. This article get the basical information of worker catholics through 10 interview and 50 questionnaires of worker catholics in Wuhan.Then we divided the reasons into spirit and substance and ascribe them to personality, family and society factor. Finaly, the article analysis the positive and negetive impact on mainstream ideology, plant operating and family life. We inten to state that workers believing Jesus is a social necessity,while substance and thought conditions have been ripened. Since the establish of socialist harmonnious society, we should take positive atitude to the phenomena, hew to the leadership of our party, and the management of the Chinese Catholic Patriotic Association, and then, we would develop its positive role and avoid its negetive role.
