| Democratic Political has always been the pursuit of the eternal human themes. As a modern political party, the Communist Party of China focused on the democratic ideals embodied in the Declaration and Programme of the party from its establishment,and had the explorations of the practice. This democratic political construction of the new China has accumulated the rich historical experience.Based on the perspective of the basic political system, the Communist Party of China had a retrospective and review in the practice of democratic politics at the beginning of the foundation of the people's Republic of China, which summarized the historical lesson for today's building of socialist democratic politics to provide historical reference.The paper is divided into three sections. The first part includes the basic theories of the paper, a brief introduction of the meaning of democratic politics, the Marxist concept of democracy, the historical types of democratic politics, and the relationship of democratic politics and the political system. The second part discusses the appearance, from process and characteristics of the people's congress system, the CPC-led multi-party cooperation and political consultation system, as well as the system of regional ethnic autonomy at the beginning of the foundation of the people's Republic of China. The third part summarized mainly the historical experience of the construction of democratic politics at the beginning of the foundation of the people's Republic of China, and pointed out its deficiencies.
