Native Language Transfer inevitably affects more or less the Second Language Acquisition. This paper elaborates both the positive and negative transfer in SLA in terms of phonetics, lexis, syntax, and culture. With a qualitative as well as quantitative research method, this author carries out experiments among 50 students with the help of interviews, and questionnaire. The results show that positive and negative transfers mutually affect the students' acquisition of English. The implication to the foreign language teaching is that teachers should take the advantage of the positive transfer while reduce the effect of the negative one.
